Juicing


Ive always been a really big fan of cold pressed juice. Believe it or not I would buy it for the week from my favorite juice company. I always wanted a juicer of my own and Santa was so sweet, he brought me one for Christmas! I have been busy juicing and cooking and googling new ideas and ways to use my juicer. What makes juicing so amazing and healthy, well did you know that it provides a way to access digestive enzymes typically locked away in the fiber of whole fruits and vegetables. Freshly juiced fruits and vegetables are loaded with an abundance of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrient.

So far I've made Pear, Apple, Celery Juice - for my son. Kale, Carrot, Celery, Apple juice for me. I used the pulp to make a kale can carrot soup today as well.

The recipe for the soup is below;

Take your kale and carrot pulp and put it into a pot of boiling water

in a frying pan - cook onion, garlic (in coconut oil)

Add 2 tbs of miso paste to water, kale, carrots

Add spices like paprika, chili powder. pepper, salt

add the onions and garlic

add 2tbs of coconut milk (optional)
